FIREFLY® FR Intumescent Acrylic is a water based sealant, used to provide a fire-rated
seal to joints, gaps and around penetrations, tested to BS EN 1363-3 and BS EN 1363-4
FIREFLY® FR Intumescent Acrylic Sealant must be used when installing a FIREFLY® FB180
Batt system, in order to provide a tested and certified solution.
The sealant should be applied to all cuts, joints and exposed edges of the FB180 Batt, as
well as around penetrations. FIREFLY®
Ablative Coating may additionally be used.
FIREFLY® FR Intumescent Acrylic Sealant is also suitable as a linear joint seal in various
substrates, including concrete, softwood, hardwood, steel, and gypsum board.
