PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
FIREFLYTM FR Graphite High Expansion Sealant is designed to restore/maintain fire resistance when voids have been created by a combustible material burning away.
Sealant for penetrations of plastic pipes, single/bunched cables, cable trays and insulated metal pipes.
Suitable to close off gaps in penetrations where collars or wraps have not been used.
FIREFLYTM FR Graphite High Expansion Sealant can also be used when installing a FIREFLYTM FB180 Batt system to provide a tested and certified solution.
PRODUCT PERFORMANCE
- Up to 4 hours fire protection
- High expansion factor of up to 700% to fill voids of up to 40mm
- Suitable for penetration seals around insulated metal pipes, plastic pipes, cables and cable trays and closing voids left by combustible materials
- Can be used with both rigid and flexible substrates
- Flexible formulation, tolerates movement of up to +/- 12.5% when fully cured
- Can be used as an integral component of a tested FIREFLYTM FB180 Ablative Batt system
- Smoke, gas and water resistant, but easy to clean as water-based – Does not generate volatiles as it is a water-based formulation
